Process Engineer

Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, the process engineer will have responsibility for creating, coordinating, training and maintaining training programs for film extrusion and slitting operations. This role will assist the Sr. Process Engineer and production team to optimize processes, reduce scrap, increase quality, and perform special projects.

When your actions lead to success.

• Create, coordinate, train and maintain department training program and documents
• Train operators on new equipment, equipment modifications, and new operating procedures.
• Work with Sr. Project Engineer on equipment modifications to increase throughput and quality metrics
• Assist Line Operations team in troubleshooting operations issues and develop corrective actions.
• Complete special projects related to process improvement
• Assist with developing and maintaining formal quality and testing documentation, test procedures, test frequencies, etc.
• Work with EHS on PPE and policies related to extrusion and large format slitting operations

When your expertise drives us.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar degree program – Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials.
• More extensive training and experience in flexible packaging considered in lieu of degree
• Experience with film extrusion operation helpful
• Experience in creating training documents helpful
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred – experience in flexible packaging helpful
