Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group is headquartered in Boston, Mass., and owns and operates six iconic Smith & Wollensky locations in the US: Las Vegas ; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Miami Beach; Boston and a suburban Wellesley, MA location. The restaurant group, widely known as “America’s Steakhouse,” opened their first international location in London in 2015 and debuted a new international location in Taipei, Taiwan in late 2018. Our sales teams are a big part of what makes our company successful. We are looking to add energetic, sales person to our growing team.
The Private Events and Sales Manager focuses on private dining reservations, storewide buyouts and partner events. Reports to the General Manager.
- Generates events sales by scouting new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients
- Serves as the point of contact for clients to plan events, develop contracts, detail events, and help the restaurant and store teams to execute events
- Works with all event vendors including: florists, rental company
- Partners with the S&W operations teams (Culinary, Front of House,) on event preparation
- Meets with clients for additional walk-throughs to finalize event details
- Processes all catering requests via Tripleseat
- Manages all catering events from start to finish; books, plans and executes functions
- Provide oversight to ensure all PDR events effectively maximize sales potential and deliver 100% customer satisfaction.
- Creates proposals, contracts and event orders, as well as packages tailored to each client’s requests
- Recaps events and provides operation, sales and production suggestions to the team
- Manages day-to-day catering requests and works closely with the team to ensure proper execution of event
- Maintains industry knowledge including principles and practices within events and catering
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of a high school diploma; Bachelor’s Degree or other four-year degree preferred. Three to five years’ experience in a restaurant environment with at least one year of management experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing, with the public and with employees. Ability to read and write English. Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, multiplication, subtraction and percentages. Ability to make sound business decisions. Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions from the information at hand. Ability to maintain composure and poise under pressure. Strong computer knowledge and ability to learn new software programs.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
