Job description
Patient focused, customer service Physical Therapy Clinic seeking a dynamic Front Office Assistant to join our team. Ideal candidate will have a heart to serve, strong communication skills, reliable, multi-tasking ability, a bright personality, flexible schedule, and be a team player that gives 110% consistently.
The position is part-time (approximately 20-25 hours per week). Previous medical or physical therapy front office experience and an understanding of health insurance verification preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Applicants should be able to take direction then work autonomously to complete tasks. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
·calling referrals to get them scheduled for PT
·verifying and explaining insurance benefits
·tracking and requesting updated referrals from the referring doctor
·creating patient files, scheduling patients, taking and inputting deductibles/copays using EMR system
·keeping patient records up-to-date with accurate information
·answering phones, faxing, filing, creating new patient paper charts
·end of day close out - pulling patient charts for next day; balancing the daily revenue
·daily light cleaning of front office area
·assisting the Front Office Supervisor with requesting authorization and/or other duties as assigned
