In anticipation of planned enrollment expansion for the 2023-2024 School Year, Savannah Classical Academy (SCA) is seeking candidates that are highly skilled and enthusiastic about this content area. SCA is a K-12 public charter school. The 2023-2024 school year will be the 11th year of our operation. Once fully enrolled (Fall 2025) SCA will have 640 students in grades K-12.

The successful teaching candidate will be very knowledgeable in both content and proven instructional practices that result in successful student outcomes.

SCA teachers are members of the Georgia Teachers Retirement System (TRS) and are eligible to participate in our State Health Benefit Plan, group dental, vision, and supplemental coverages. Salaries for certified positions are based on the local county public school system’s published salary scale.

Ex) Local salary scale for a full-time first year T4 (four-year degree certified teacher) is $47,124.00

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide appropriate learning experiences and educational opportunities for each student assigned to the class.

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

SALARY SCHEDULE: Teacher

WORK DAYS: 190

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Preferred: Advanced degree(s)
• Experience, Skill and Certification: Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field or meet Georgia's Professionally Qualified standards for charter schools.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
