Outreach/Stakeholder Engagement Professional
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Years of Experience: Ten years of experience in developing and implementing outreach/stakeholder engagement/communication plans.
Highly Desired Experience: Proven experience in planning and executing a communication strategy and planning for a complex program. Experience in developing and implementing an international communication program is highly desirable.
Work Location: Washington, DC Travel: up to 25%
Work Environment: Hybrid work environment (minimum 1 day a week onsite).
Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: DOE Q Clearance
Functions: Support the development and implementation of a communication strategy and Annual Communication Plan: Strategic and tactical messaging, Branding, etc.
- Identify stakeholders, conduct stakeholder analysis, and support coordination with stakeholders.
- Support coordination with Public Affairs including drafting of articles, press releases, blog posts, tweets, etc.
- Support the development and implementation of key program messages, outreach products, and innovative outreach concepts, such as social media.
- Outreach to program audience segments that are critical to program success.
- Support for identifying, defining strategies, tactics, channels of outreach and determining ROI analytics to a diverse audience.
- Support the planning and coordination of workshops and stakeholder workshops.
- Support the planning, updating, coordinating, and execution of domestic and international conferences and assess and coordinate new and/or continuing outreach opportunities with key associations and nongovernmental organizations.
- Support for coordinated planning and execution of development and updates of communication products such as annual reports, fact sheets, case studies, brochures, and promotional materials (graphics, videos, interactive media, social media, etc.).
- Coordination of geographically dispersed program participants (e.g., law enforcement, emergency responders, health care and medical sector, research institutions, manufacturers, regulators, and the national laboratories).
- Coordination of inputs from Subject Matter Experts.
- Development and implementation of programmatic outreach/communication strategy and stakeholder-specific outreach/communication planning.
- Quality Control/Assurance of outreach products.
- Lessons learned for continuous improvement of outreach for outcome-based stakeholder engagement.
- Support the program Communication/Outreach Leader to develop and implement a program and stakeholder specific outreach and stakeholder engagement plan for domestic and international participants.
