Job Title: Office Administrator

Payroll Status: Hourly non-exempt. At will employ. All employees of Mercury Plastics are “At Will” employees.

Compensation: Hourly, non-exempt. Fair market value as determined by federal and state wage and labor standards. Increases in compensation based on demonstrated skill improvement and increased measurable impact in the performance of operations. Duration of employment does not impact compensation.

Reports To: Production Control Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education - High School Diploma. Associates Degree or three years of office administration experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a lean environment.
  • Capable of working a consistent schedule starting at 7AM
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. (24 lbs. female) shoulder height
  • Valid Maryland Driver’s License
  • Must have reliable transportation

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Safety
  • Observe and comply with all safety guidelines
  • Report all safety violations or unsafe conditions to Safety Officer immediately
  • Security
  • Administration
  • Produce purchase orders as required
  • Match invoices, receipt and PO's. Scan and file same.
  • Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
  • Track inventory and usage for office products. Place requisitions as needed
  • Process shipments with appropriate carriers (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, LTL, Contract etc.)
  • Initiate requests of planning and procurement to replenish supply
  • Create, edit and maintain work orders, pick list, bill of lading, etc.
  • Works closely with: sales, customer service, engineering, production control, and leadership, and suppliers
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

Location:

  • 2717 Wilmarco Ave, Baltimore, MD 21223 and the adjacent distribution center

Ongoing Training:

  • At Mercury Plastics our team members are our most valuable asset. We invest heavily in the education and training of our employees. Team members are expected and occasionally required to attend and complete training. Training costs are paid by Mercury Plastics.

Work Schedule:

  • Day shift – 7AM – 3:30PM Monday – Friday or as assigned by leadership

Performance evaluation metrics:

  • Personal
  • Attendance 95% or better
  • On time at work 95%
  • Transaction entry within allotted time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:
