ASRC Federal provides infrastructure support to a State Department customer located in Arlington, Virginia. Our team provides support for a campus-wide network, local and remote servers, and storage devices. We are looking for a Network Engineer with the technical expertise to implement, maintain, and support the network infrastructure for a campus network. The Network Engineer will be onsite in Arlington, VA with the ability to telework one day per week.- Provide network backbone maintenance and troubleshooting services
- Configure and Maintain Cisco 9000 series switches and Cisco access switches for high-speed connectivity and high availability
- Assist with other network requirements for the Fiber backbone and the enterprise wireless network
- Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field
- At least 2 years hands-on experience working with similar technologies
- CISCO CCNA OR Microsoft MCP
- Working knowledge of LAN/ WAN connectivity technologies including Long Haul, Short Haul Fiber, Ethernet, spanning tree protocols and wireless
- Working knowledge and experience with inter-site connections including WAN circuits, circuit encryption, TLS technologies, and Cisco router configuration
- Working knowledge of LAN administration including Internet protocols, servers and services
- Good communication skills to work with end-user customers and within a team
