Overview:

• Planning and coordinating the backhaul process for MDI.
• Reviewing backhaul information and communicates directly with Drivers, Dispatch, MDI Warehouse, buyers, and shippers when issues arise and makes changes when necessary.
• Logging and sending all billing information to Accounting to ensure maximum profits are achieved.

M-F 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Plans and coordinates backhauls, pick up, and appointment schedules to optimize backhaul capacity and maximize revenue. Also coordinates with dispatch the routing of private fleet backhauls.
• Coordinates and communicates daily with transportation supervision and routers to ensure backhauls run efficiently.
• Analyzes daily backhaul capacity, planning and coordinating which backhauls are pushed to third party to ensure maximum revenue.
• Plans private fleet back haul pick up appointments, minimizing drivers down time as well as keeping driver within DOT's regulations.
• Responsible for submitting all freight transactions in MTH billing program. Bills all detention charges for backhaul freight. Logs detentions in a report and sends to MTH Manager.
• Communicates daily, in a timely manner, with buyers and traffic manager all issues concerning on time deliveries as well as all issues related to backhauls.
• Communicates daily with drivers that are experiencing problems and resolve their issues.
• Evaluate costs of laying over/ delaying drivers when needed by determining importance of load.
• Under Logistics Supervisor supervision finds solution through use of DAT Board to complete in-bound or out-bound legs
• Creates and coordinates deliveries for W Lee Flowers, MTH logistics & MDI outside storage customers in CAMMS.
• May be required to perform additional tasks, as necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Logistic load planning and an excellent work performance.
• Working experience with MDI Warehouse Systems including: Mainframe, CAMMS, Biceps, I-trade, People Net, PowerVue WHRL
• Must have good communication and organizational skills.
• Good skills with excel, word, and MTH billing system
• Inbound logistics experience beneficial and a working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
• Able to work flexible schedule if needed.
