Functions
The medical assistant
- Takes and records patient history and personal information.
- Measures vital signs.
- Answers telephone and schedules patients' appointments.
- Checks patients in and prepares them for appointment with physician/provider.
- Collects drug screens and performs EKGs, spirometry testing, and hearing testing.
Requirements
- Certified medial assistant
- Ability to clearly communicate medical information and perform job duties in a professional, courteous and confidential manner
