We currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and test new or improved products, using design specifications and company processes.
  • Support engineering projects including the development of SORs, schedules, work plans, and technical documentation.
  • Support the engineering and design of custom system components to meet customer specifications based on their footprint and process.
  • Actively participate in various phases of the commercialization and project management process including, but not limited to, developing work plans, preparing concepts and engineering drawings, developing prototypes, and conducting testing.
  • Develop testing methods and perform testing activities to evaluate product performance characteristics.
  • Manage initial cost estimates, procurement of prototypes, and alpha test programs in the lab. Assist with beta testing in the field at customer sites.
  • Provide lab support for internal development and customer demonstrations, including system set-up, test, evaluation, and tear down.
  • Support initial product start-up at the manufacturing facility. Participate in the initial product builds and, when required, evaluate new vendors and investigate start-up quality issues.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems, implement changes, and provide technical advice and assistance to achieve defined project goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
  • Work with marketing in the successful introduction of new and improved products into the marketplace by providing technical support and training to customers, service engineers, and internal personnel
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting and quality problem assistance to the manufacturing operations as needed.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites and other locations as needed and assigned.
  • Build relationships with end users and effectively manage conflict
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed and as assigned.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Three (3)+ years of product development and/or design experience in manufacturing or application engineering
  • Open to occasional travel, both domestic and international

How to Stand Out:

  • 3D CAD experience preferred
  • Fluid mechanics knowledge, materials science, manufacturing processes, electro-mechanical interactions, and process control interfaces in solving technical problems.
  • Electro-mechanical “hands-on” aptitude (wiring, hydraulics, mechanics, etc.)
  • Experience with hand tools and lab instruments such as data acquisition, oscilloscopes, meters
