Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director, Diagnostic Imaging and in cooperation with the Medical Director of the division, the MRI Manager is responsible for managing the clinical and operational activities of the MRI department. Exercises critical thinking skills toward decision making which effectively addresses personnel management, use of resources, quality of services and fiscal management of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) section of diagnostic imaging. Plans, directs, and coordinates the work of assigned staff who participate in providing diagnostic testing procedures. Is responsible to provide a high-quality education program for incumbent staff. Supports designated student training program(s) for the department by assuring the training program meet compliance standards, policies and procedures outlined by various approving agencies.

Requirements:

Completion of formal, accredited training program in an approved School of Radiology Technology, plus registration through the American Registry for Radiology Technologists or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Three or more years of supervisory experience and the ability to demonstrate sufficient skills and knowledge to support the scope of responsibilities outlined above.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Supervisory responsibility for up to 50 FTE’s.
