- Manage student enrollment related reporting, including but not limited to, data planning, aggregating, testing, building, and submitting all necessary and requested reports.
- Participate in state reporting status calls with Student Information System (SIS) vendor to oversee the implementation of changes as needed and resolve technical issues related to, but not limited to, Enrollment and CEDARS file creation/specifications.
- Notify applicable staff regarding EDS application open and close dates, providing support and information needed to verify and certify reports by required deadlines.
- Troubleshoot CEDARS submission errors, notify applicable staff, and provide guidance on how to correct errors.
- Develop and provide training to users for assigned applications and systems.
- Implement and comply with District Policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Participate in OSPI trainings and webinars regarding current year requirements.
- Participate in vendor/SIS training regarding current year requirements.
- Maintain district SIS setup to ensure compliancy.
- Prepare and deliver documentation and training for district staff.
- Create and maintain processes and documents to provide an audit trail for monthly enrollment and amendments.
- Submit and amend monthly enrollment OSPI.
- Provide monthly and yearly documentation to be used for reporting, including historical trending and budget projections.
- District Representation
- Participate in district committees or discussions that could affect monthly counting processes and procedures;
- Represent the district in system and application discussions that include an impact on reporting at the district, state, and/or federal level.
- Technical support when EDS applications are not functioning properly.
- Participate in OSPI CEDARS trainings, webinars, and stake holder committee meetings regarding technical requirements and operational impacts.
- Participate in SIS CEDARS trainings.
- Cooperatively work with district department to ensure the SIS CEDARS setup is in compliance.
- Monitor, communicate with, and provide input regarding CEDARS exceptions.
- Prepare and deliver documentation and training for district staff.
- Create and maintain processes and documents to provide a cleanup process for CEDARS exceptions.
- Submit CEDARS files as least once a week, or more often as requested by district leadership.
- Respond to CEDARS requests regarding data needs, clean up, or reporting.
- Monitor EDS Applications that have CEDARS dependent deadlines to ensure data is current and correct prior to closing dates.
- Provide data from CEDARS Tableau as needed.
- State and District representation.
- Attend workshops and conferences that include CEDARS sessions/trainings.
- Coordinate with technology to set up the Student Information System and to validate data to meet biannual requirement from the U.S. Department of Education.
- Provide current and projected student enrollment to support staffing allocations and budgeting considerations.
- Review and validate the Running Start Invoice from other districts and provide final approval for payment.
- Workload Plan of Action validation for teachers with class size overage in compliance with bargaining agreements or memorandums of understanding.
- Support other business office leaders as necessary.
- Knowledge of Washington State and Federal reporting requirements, and familiarity with OSPI working operations applications.
- Knowledge of school district business processes and annual cycles, particularly as it relates to State and Federal reporting processes, school funding, and accountability.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to student information, school and district performance on state and federal accountability measures, school and district funding.
- Experience managing data extracts and imports between database platforms including scripting tools to automate custom processes.
- Working knowledge of relational database management (SQL, etc.) tools.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions and produce accurate work while responding to interruptions, surrounding noise, and changing priorities.
- Ability to independently establish daily work priorities and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Must have a minimum of two years education in computer science at the college level or four years progressive experience in the IT field.
- Must have a minimum of two years experience working in data processing in an educational setting or commercial environment.
- Must have experience with training staff on computer systems in a classroom setting.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning and SIS systems with particular skills related to Synergy.
- Requires fingerprinting and background check to determine that there have been no convictions involving physical molestation, abuse, injury, or neglect of a minor.
- Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license, a good driving record, and availability of a vehicle for transportation from site to site.

Under general supervision, provide coordination of State and Federal Data collections as required by OSPI, CEDARS, and the Office of Civil Rights. Responsible for monitoring the collection, verification and systems validation of student data, and for compiling reports to meet state and federal requirements. The manager provides data analysis to support various data needs, including but is not limited to, student achievement, attendance, discipline, graduation rates, and free and reduced meal status. This position serves as the primary point of contact for State reporting requirements and is responsible for taking on specific projects as directed to meet the data needs of the district.
