As the Maintenance Manager, you will:

... perform and/or coordinate all repairs and physical maintenance of the community and individual apartments. You will ensure preventive maintenance is scheduled and performed on all equipment as needed for the community.

What you’ll do here:

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs to plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems throughout the community
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the safe operation and use of hand and power tools used throughout the general maintenance industry
• Oversee and manage the community maintenance technician(s) and housekeeping staff (hiring, onboarding, and training)
• In partnership with the Executive Director, evaluate, coach and performance manage the team consistent with Enlivant policies
• Instruct or aid housekeeping to maintain floor covering in the hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots and other community areas
• In partnership with the Community Leadership team, manage the relationship and work of outside contractors or external vendors regarding the exterior finishes and landscaping by reviewing contractors work or assisting with smaller maintenance projects as instructed by the Executive Director
• Understand and balance resident room requests with the expectations, needs and concerns of the resident, family, and community
• Inspect building(s) and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs, making notes and recommendations using a pre-established check sheet and following standardized maintenance criteria
• Document compliance with life safety and regulatory requirements as directed by Federal, State, and local codes such as Fire Drills, Daily Rounds and Evacuation Drills
• Prepare apartments for move-in and complete refurbishing of apartments after move-out, including but not limited to paint, appliance replacement, flooring as appropriate and any additional upgrades needed to prepare resident rooms
• Maintain the interior finishes and first impressions of the community, including but not limited to paint, wall repair, lighting, other finishes including counters, cabinets, door and windows and other services
• Maintain the exterior finishes and first impressions of the community, including but not limited to painting, siding, lighting, landscaping, and parking
• Additional duties as assigned

We’d love to talk if:

• You have two to three years of experience in facility maintenance including experience with electrical, plumbing and carpentry
• You have three to six months of previous supervisory, training, and mentoring experience
• You meet, have, or are eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certifications
• You have written and oral English communication skills
• You care about serving seniors

Bonus points if:

• You have previous experience within a facilities position in a senior living or healthcare environment
• You have a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• You have experience interacting with individuals diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease

Pay Range: $21 - $24 / Hour, based on experience
