Job Description and Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Troubleshoot and safely repair rotating equipment.
· Safely perform millwright, pipe fitting and rigging work.
· Troubleshoot and rebuild centrifugal pumps, compressors, Elliot turbines (single and multi-stage)
and other rotating components, which may include mechanical seals, gearboxes and alignment.
· Performing basic pipefitting utilizing best practices for both threaded and CPVC socket piping of
various schedule and size.
· Read and interpret drawings, procedures, diagrams and manuals.
· Demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring and testing
instruments.
· Conduct inspections per instructions and procedures provided by the Maintenance Supervisor.
· Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment.
· Other projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
HS&E RESPONSIBILITIES
· Be knowledgeable of and comply with all applicable site, corporate, legal, regulatory safety and
environmental requirements.
· Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and complete all applicable safety training as
required.
· Properly inspect, use and maintain necessary PPE in accordance with site PPE matrix
· Report all safety or environmental incidents immediately and openly participate in the incident
investigation.
· Review yearly and when necessary, assist in writing job procedures
· Help in preparing the applicable work permits.
· Immediately report any unsafe condition or behavior to your supervisor and write safety work
orders or Near Miss reports to document the unsafe conditions or actions
· Ensure all applicable permits have been issued, equipment is properly locked out and tagged out
and the proper PPE and tools required for the specific job
· Participate in PSUSR, PHA and MOCs
· Must be knowledgeable of the site contractor safety program
· Responsible for housekeeping of the maintenance shop area keeping area clean and uncluttered
· Clean any spill immediately and report
· Ensure waste is properly labeled in compliance with local regulations
· Look for waste reduction opportunities
· Ensure equipment approved for use e.g. forklifts, safety showers, ladders etc.

Requirements

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Able to take precision measurements of parts (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

• Perform basic math.
• Perform millwright and pipefitting skills.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Able to operate a computer.
• Must be able to drive a forklift and man lift.
• Knowledgeable in proper rigging techniques.
• Must be able to wear a full-face respirator.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Certified as per plant craftsman certification requirements

State Driver’s license

Certified Forklift License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.06 - $41.36 per hour
