Under the general supervision of the AVP – Loan Servicing and SVP – Retail Lending, performs a wide and in-depth variety of work in conformance with established policies and operating procedures; performs duties pertaining to the servicing of the Bank’s residential mortgage and consumer loan portfolios, including loans serviced for investors; completes reporting as required by regulatory authorities.

Retail Loan Servicing Administrator represents the Bank to the customer (external and internal) in a courteous and professional manner. Furnishes prompt, efficient and accurate service on customer account inquires.

ESSENTIAL POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Daily Functions:

  • On-board new loans onto the bank’s core processing loan system
  • Customer service calls for bank’s portfolio loan customers
  • Process mortgage and consumer loan payments and loan pay-offs
  • Review investor payments daily to verify payments were processed correctly
  • Track and process insurance for secured loans (homeowner’s, vehicle, flood)
  • Manage paper and electronic scanned loan files

Miscellaneous:

  • Review and remit timely payments of real estate tax payments
  • Review and remit timely homeowner’s and flood insurance payments
  • Review loans with PMI (private mortgage insurance) and remit payments timely
  • Prepare and record discharges of mortgage for paid off loans
  • Some light collections calls for delinquent loan payments

Daily reports:

  • Review daily Loan Maintenance report to verify any loan changes
  • Review new loan set-up report to verify loans were set up correctly on core

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Encompass LOS and COCC Insight experience preferred.
  • Job requires high degree of human relation and communication skills, and thorough knowledge of Mortgages/Consumer Loans and the Loan Servicing area. Must be able to interact with all levels of management and employees in departments of the Bank, as well as provide superior telephone customer service. A thorough understanding of the requirements and features of industry standard Retail Lending products and programs.
  • Thorough understanding of the requirements and features of the Bank’s retail loan products and programs (mortgage and consumer), and fee structure.
  • Must have ability to analyze and evaluate special circumstances and make appropriate decisions according to operating policies and procedures
  • Proactive, precise, highly motivated and able to adapt and thrive within the Bank’s credit culture.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED BY THE JOB:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional 2 to 4 years of college courses with major in accounting or finance preferred. Or commensurate work experience.
  • Sound knowledge of state and federal bank regulations and Secondary Market requirements preferred.
