Lead Press Operator

Job Overview:
The Lead Screen Printing Press Operator is primarily responsible for operating on an automatic press. Press Operators will register jobs, load/print garments, ensure quality throughout run, and be involved in any necessary set up/break down tasks. All of these job responsibilities need to be done without much oversight, but will ultimately answer to Production Manager.

Responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:

• Press set up, registration, and take down of each job.
• Load and unload jobs for each day.
• Operate automatic press in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to print with quality and maintain consistency with strong attention to detail for all orders.
• Monitor and maintain print quality during production runs, with the ability to identify any issues if they arise, and take appropriate corrective action to resolve.
• Knowledge of various types of inks and their application properties. (water-based, plastisol, discharge, etc.)
• Strong color management techniques with an ability to mix or match PMS Pantone colors using our formulas.
• Help with preventative maintenance on equipment in the printing department.
• Keep a clean, tidy workstation and be willing to contribute positively and proactively to the cleanliness and safety needs of our warehouse.

Requirements and Qualifications:
· At least two years of experience working on an automatic press.
· Demonstrated track record of consistent employment.
· Reliable transportation to Belchertown.
· Punctuality. Do not be late.
· Strong work ethic with a keen attention to detail.
· Able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high level of quality.
· Communicate well with team members
· Physically capable of high daily demands; including but not limited to lifting 50+ pound ink containers, full boxes of garments, and standing for extended hours at a time.
· Team player; we are an 11-person team working towards the same goal.

Job Wage:
$23-28 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Hours: Full time - 4 day work week (M-Th, 7am-5pm)
