Job description
To be considered for a Technical Lead Data Engineering role with my client, you’ll need to be onboard and comfortable while meeting with both internal and external partners. You’ll be expected to manage, remodel, and cleanse high volume amounts of data to assist this company’s clients in areas of fraud, compliance, and financial crime. This is an Agile team and team sprints, and scrum meetings will be regularly conducted within your team for each project.
What to expect:
- Use leading open-source data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Scala, and ElasticSearch.
- Ability to work in a client facing role with important clients and present project updates and results.
- Assist the development team to produce reusable applications.
- Collaborate on scalability issues and automate data processing.
- Work alongside data scientists to deliver solutions effectively and efficiently.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers.
This role will be a good fit for you if:
- Comes with experience coding in Scala
- Have worked in an Agile environment
- Experience building ETL or analytic pipelines
- Strong ability and experience working in a client facing role
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and solve technical challenges with sometimes unfamiliar technologies.
- Come from a financial background
- Experience with modern development tooling and automation supporting technology.

This role is open to candidates located in Boston, MA and will not be offering sponsorship as candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $177,098.00 - $195,725.00 per year
