Thomas Solutions Incorporated is looking for a qualified Landing Zone(LZ)/Drop Zone(DZ) controller to provide support to the 492nd Special Operations (SOW) Flying Training Unit (FTU), Programmed Flying Training (PFT) and continuation training requirements.

This position is located at Hurlburt Field, AFB, Florida.

Salary commensurate with experience

Qualification:

• The LZ/DZ controller shall pass, possess and maintain a valid and current FAA Class II flight physical issued under 14 CFR 67 or equivalent medical standards
• Controller shall have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Air Force SpecialtyCode 1C2X1, P273X0, P272X0D or equivalent

• Satisfactorily completed a Department of Defense, Department of Transportation ATC course or the USAF Combat Control Operator Course.

• A prior (or current) ATC Tower certification is highly desired.

Requirements:

• Be able to conduct LZ/DZ usability assessments, scoring procedures and surveys in accordance with AFI 13-217.
• Be able to conduct/report weather observations in accordance with FAA JO 7110.65, Chapter 2, Sections 6 and 7.
• Be able to marshal aircraft in accordance with AFMAN 11-218.
• Must have working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, federal, state and local agencies

• Be familiar with military command and control structures.
• Have the physical capabilities to perform the duties listed in this PWS. Must be able to safely lift and carry at least fifty (50) pounds.
• Possess fundamental land navigation/map, compass and GPS skills sufficient to read and locate, using latitude and longitude and
• Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM)/Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) coordinates, boundaries, points of origin, points of impact, impact/strike points, and other locations during all training missions.

Specialize Requirements:

• Active US Security Clearance

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
