Hearthside Food Solutions / Interbake
We are currently hiring a Full-Time Master Operator for 2nd shift in our Somerset, PA location
$23.11 plus $1.50 shift differential

Job Duties: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain and operate cone baking ovens.
• Maintain sleeve dispenser, batter system, and production line in good working order including

preventative maintenance.

• Have knowledge of the baking process including mixing, baking and packaging.
• Understand safety and GMPs.
• Must have operational understanding of Haas Oven, and oven support sub-systems.
• Reports to Quality Systems Manager and Plant Manager on all IPM and non-mechanical related issues.
• Reports to Maintenance Manager for all preventive maintenance and mechanical related issues and

work schedules.

• Perform electrical and mechanical trouble-shooting to fuse, overload, or prox-type sensor level.

Does not include PLC component or program.

• Operate the cone baking oven, conveyors, sleeve dispensers.
• Perform PM’s on the equipment as required and scheduled by PMC-2000.
• Perform or assist Operators with Cold Jet baking plates and other oven components.
• Collect IPM data.
• Perform start-up procedures.
• Perform product change over (baking & packaging).
• Perform shut-down / clean-up including sanitation duties.
• Effective verbal & written communication skills.
• Understand mixing system equipment operation and batter formulation.
• Assist with work teams.
• Computer skills as required and needed (Excel, IPM etc.)
• Utilize the Quality Management Systems tools (IPM, KT, DOE)
• Leadership skills
• Receives PMC-2000 generated work orders from Maintenance Mgr and executes the work as
• planned. Returns properly completed work orders to Maintenance Manager.
• Provides equipment operation feedback to other Operators and Maintenance Mgr.
• Track and communicate daily scrap and downtime performance.

Responsible for sanitation and sanitation work orders as issued

Job Requirements:

• Must be available to work 2nd Shift (2:00PM – 10:00PM).
• Must be available to work overtime as needed.
• Preferred candidates will have previous demonstrated manufacturing/industrial experience - preference in food/baking industry
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be comfortable to lift up to 30-50 pounds repetitively
• Must be comfortable to work in food manufacturing environment allows you to stand for longer hours on your feet.
