SL America is a Korean Tier 1 Automotive Supplier who is looking for individuals to convert written or verbal language into Korean to English or English to Korean.

Job responsibilities

· Understand automotive trends and market volatility

· Read given material and research automotive lamp industry-specific terminology

· Collaborate the diverse viewpoints from both engineering and commercial sides

· Convert text and peoples statements from Korean to English or English to Korean

· Manage both sequential translation and simultaneous translation for any conference calls

· Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone

· Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy

· Follow up with SL internal team members to ensure translation meets their needs

· Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format including correcting awkward Korean expressions

· Ensure each party understands one another and enhance communication across cultures

Requirements and Skills

· Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role

· Fluency in both languages of English and Korean in addition to your native language as Korean or English

· Excellent collaboration skills to lead the formal business meetings smoothly

· Good knowledge of automotive industry , especially in lighting and electronic based on engineering standpoint

· Time-management skills to be responsive to any urgent matters

· Good communication skills to be supportive for both working level and leadership level

· Ability to be flexible with schedule to accommodate time zones

Education

Bachelor degree

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
