WhistlePig Whiskey is a growing company and our Sales & Marketing teams are growing along with it! We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to support our growth goals with Limavady, a whiskey with a nod to the past and a great vision for the future.
Position Summary:
This is a role for a self-starter with recent bar experience, whose roots in their local scene are deep and well-established. We need an entrepreneurial spirit, a builder of brand engagement and relationships at all levels - on- and off-premise channels - who thrives in a rapid change environment. Responsible for driving consumer engagement, brand awareness, and visibility in top ACV accounts, this role will also assist in executing any marketing initiatives & programs within key footprint metro cities for new brand launches. Executing monthly KPI goals in on & off premise accounts as set forth by the Chief of Sales, this role is considered part of the Sales team with a dotted line to Sr Brand Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Target account lists to be created with RM/Chief & distributor partner in each market for volume & accts sold, 80% on and 20% off-premise
- 4 Brand trainings & events to be executed on-premise monthly. Monthly budget to support events
- Monthly retail tastings in top retail accounts
- Execute all GSM’s, distributor work withs, and walk around tastings
- Activate consumer/trade events to generate awareness, engagement, and trial
- Open and regular communication with distributor leads in order to achieve goals
- Monitor and provide monthly detailed recaps of all programs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- 3+ years spirits industry experience required
- Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit; exhibiting passion, ambition, hard work and leadership to drive commercial success
- Must be results oriented and able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Self-disciplined and flexible self-starter, with confidence and drive to work independently and meet all project deadlines, including frequently working outside standard business hours
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required including the experience and ability to present in front of both large and small groups
Location & Travel:
- Must live in or no more than 20 minutes outside of city
- Must have own transportation
Compensation:
- Base salary of $50K, annually, plus bonus; structure based on KPIs
