Credence and its partner, the Public Health Institute (PHI), are both employers for GHTASC, and are seeking a Junior Program Analyst in USAID under GHTASC.
Note: This is a term-limited position through September 30, 2023
Summary Statement
Over 6.2 million people have died from the COVID-19 pandemic. It has further disrupted access to essential services including immunization and put tens of millions at risk of contracting vaccine-preventable diseases. The Biden Administration has called on the world to collectively end the COVID-19 pandemic as soon as possible, and has introduced ambitious targets in three critical areas for ending this pandemic and preventing and preparing for the next: Vaccinate the World; Save Lives Now; and Build Back Better. As noted in the COVID-19 Global Response and Recovery Framework (GRRF), the U.S. government (USG) has committed to supporting the target of vaccinating 70% of the world population by the end of 2022.
In addition to widespread, equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines, the key to controlling the pandemic lies in implementing a comprehensive public health and clinical strategy in every country to prevent transmission and expand access to evidence-based, high-quality care and treatment for patients with moderate to severe COVID-19 infections. While vaccine delivery increases, countries will need continued support to prevent and treat COVID-19.
Job Requirements
- Facilitate correspondence between the V-TWG (VADI) and other bureaus and offices in the Agency, ensuring that all documentation and correspondence meet deadlines, are complete, and are in compliance with USAID rules, regulations, and standards;
- Support the VADI Leadership Team and other Pillars of the VADI with coordination of meeting requests, preparation and follow up;
- Support technical and managerial meetings;
- Analyze, organize and format technical information for use in briefings, presentations, publications and correspondence, ensuring consistency with USAID standards;
- Analyze and edit program communications such as cables, memoranda, and letters that seek approval or request information relative to program matters;
- Maintains and provides assistance with administrative, information, and correspondence tracking systems, and designs and maintains spreadsheets and databases to support these systems;
- Schedules meetings and events; support general logistics; maintain calendars, call lines, meeting setup;
- Document minutes/notes of regular meetings, as required;
- Ensures that schedules and deadlines are met; and
- Maintains correspondence and program files.
- Masters degree and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree with 3 years, Associate’s degree and 5 years relevant experience OR High School graduate and 7 years of relevant experience
- Strong oral communications skills and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications;
- Strong written communications skills with a keen attention to grammatical detail;
- Strong organizational skills in order to keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines at a time;
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is required;
- Ability to apply a common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Experience in executive administration and management procedures preferred; and
- US citizenship or US permanent residency with the ability to obtain and maintain Facility Access required
