Overview:
LifeLong Medical Care has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Data Analyst. Under the supervision of the Homeless Services team leads, the Junior Data Analyst supports the Homeless Services programs at LifeLong Medical Care with data entry, database maintenance, ensuring data quality, auditing, and reporting.

This is a full time, 40 hrs/wk, benefit eligible position. Compensation: $26.45/hr.

Responsibilities:
  • Processes client intake, update, and discharge paperwork by completing data entry in the HMIS Clarity, EPIC, and Community Health Record (CHR) databases.
  • Ensures excellent data quality across all homeless services programs by running and interpreting monthly data quality reports and collaborating directly with program staff for data entry corrections.
  • Responds to audit requests from funders by compiling client information, inspecting data for any gaps, facilitating data entry corrections with program staff, and presenting final reports.
  • Compiles monthly and quarterly progress reports for program funders which includes maintaining current client-level data reports, and calculating program outcomes and progress toward stated service goals.
  • Modifies and develops custom reports in HMIS Clarity and EPIC databases, as needed.
  • Interprets, describes, and visualizes report results and program outcomes.
  • Evaluates data entry and reporting processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serves as the HMIS Agency Liaison for LifeLong Medical Care homeless services programs.
  • Assists data analytic team in database optimization and maintenance.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential and complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Public Health, Sociology, Social Work or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience in healthcare related field and/or data reporting related work.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Job Preferences
  • Community Health Center experience.
  • Experience utilizing or managing databases such as HMIS Clarity, EPIC, and CHR.
  • Experience in data visualization.
  • Lived experience relative to working with people experiencing homelessness (e.g. formerly homeless, social or behavioral health services consumer, criminal justice system involvement, foster care involvement, close family-member of someone with these experiences).
