This position reports to the Vice President – Organizational Change Management and Communications. A key stakeholder in connecting, driving awareness of and reinforcing organizational achievements and values through the creation of exciting, informative and actionable content. Responsible for researching, developing, reviewing and editing corporate and employee engagement communications that deliver clear, concise and consistent messages.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field and minimum of 1 year of experience in communications. Familiarity with financial industry is preferred.
2. Competency with Microsoft Office products with proficiency in Microsoft Word. Experience working with SharePoint preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar programs desirable.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically in grammar and proofreading.
4. Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
5. Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Under supervision, help to develop, organize and implement internal communications plans, programs, projects and deliverables that ensure outcomes align with company priorities and strategic direction.
2. Works independently as well as collaboratively to execute communication strategies in a highly cross functional environment.
3. Develops engaging content (both written and multimedia) for a variety of communications channels including digital signage, emails, company intranet.
4. Oversees the production of reoccurring content such as the company e-newsletter and regular updates to the intranet.
5. Ensures framing of messages is consistent with organization’s strategic goals.
6. Provides copywriting and editing expertise to a variety of business partners.
7. Manages communications review and approval process to meet communication plan deadlines.
8. Demonstrates a high knowledge and understanding of the organization’s language and culture.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
