Northwest Indiana Lighthouse Charter Schools is currently an Instructional Coach to join us for the 23-24 School Year!
SUMMARY: The Instructional Coach will provide support for implementation of NWILCS’s academic vision and framework. The Instructional Coach is an instructional leader that will support teachers by building teacher capacity and increasing academic outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Uses effective communication strategies to partner and work with adults.
- Offers instructional support by gathering data, modeling teaching strategies, observing instruction, providing feedback, and coaching teachers in order to develop and meet the needs of all learners.
- Supports state standards, district curriculum, instruction, and assessments.
- Plans, delivers, and supports professional learning with individuals/groups of teachers.
- Support educators directly using a coaching model that focuses on co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, data analysis, and feedback.
- Helps gather materials and finds resources to support the classroom environment and instruction.
- Assists teachers with assessment and data-related activities, such as data collection/analysis and examination of student work.
- Models/teaches/co-teaches lessons to support classroom instruction
- Designs and uses a variety of active teaching and learning strategies to improve student performance.
- Facilitates collaboration and professional growth for instructional personnel.
- Assists with classroom management through relationship building
- Participates and collaborates with school and district leadership
- Assumes personal responsibility to remain current in best practices and research through independent study and growth mindset
- Meets regularly with site school leadership team to plan, support, and develop instructional staff
- Update and maintain accurate records including coaching log to monitor progress and effectiveness
- Monitor progress and effectiveness of professional learning and instructional coaching; recommend and implement strategies to maximize effectiveness.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and abilities to work as a member of a collaborative team.
- Support with MTSS framework and implementation
- Maintains consistent and punctual attendance.
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or administrator.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
