Human Resources Assistant

Responsible for assisting with the administrative daily duties of the Human Resources department. Assists with the implementation of services, policies, and programs to help maintain a safe, positive work environment. Responsible for carrying out responsibilities related to employment, departmental development, employee relations, organizational development, training & development, compensation, and benefits.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for organizing and maintaining employee personnel records.

· Responsible for creating ads and posting employee job announcements.

· Supports Human Resources Coordinator with recruiting, sourcing, screening, testing, scheduling, and interviewing job applicants.

· Participate in updating internal Human Resources databases and status change payroll data (new hires, separations, address changes).

· Maintain employee confidence and integrity by keeping human resource information confidential.

· Responsible for responding to employee/management inquiries by providing prompt responses.

· Maintain quality service by following organizational standards.

· Assist with coordinating human resources projects; yearly mandated employee training/development initiatives and benefits open enrollment activities.

· Document and tracks human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

· Assist with new hire employee orientation by scheduling and providing information packets, reviewing company policies and payroll process to new staff.

· Other duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to Human Resources Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent computer skills proficient with Microsoft and Excel.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· 1- year administrative experience in a Human Resources environment preferred.

· Positive and friendly attitude.

· Spreadsheet preparation and tracking skills.

· NY Drivers License

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
