JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Security Lead, incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, janitorial, and safety of the Agency. The purpose of the Housekeeping – Kitchen(s), Community Room, Fitness is to maintain and clean the community kitchen, community room, Fitness Center as well as assist in set up and take down for events the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; mop; use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Work is performed in an office environment including medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, fitness center environments and event spaces for community and other events. Incumbent may utilize various office equipment including, but not limited to, a computer, copy machine, fax machine, and multi-line phone. Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone, by computer and in person. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced work environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain cleanliness of special areas including kitchens (breakrooms and Community Kitchen), Community Room, Fitness Center and other areas as designated.
- Assist with event set-up and take-down including ensuring areas are set up, clean and appropriate for the event. Be available and/or present during events to assist with any housekeeping needs. After event, ensure event areas are cleaned and appropriately set-up.
- Coverage: Officers should not leave an assigned post unmanned, only for the reason of conducting a “walk-through” through assigned areas. Scheduled relief for breaks and lunch should be communicated with Security Lead.
- Provides surveillance of agency property and facility. Assists in maintaining a quiet and safe environment free from solicitors, unruly and/or disorderly people.
- Conducts regular safety inspections and complete related reports.
- Records and document all incidents which require assistance and/or attention and maintain accurate files.
- Maintain a current and complete inventory of equipment/furniture.
- Assists in agency equipment control.
- Facility cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Non-technical facility and equipment repair.
- Organization of storage areas.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to maintain personal composure.
- Ability to evaluate situations and act/react appropriately.
- Ability to use tact in dealing with visitors/patients in occasionally difficult situations.
- Actively participate in and support Quality Assessment and Improvement activities in the Agency.
- Participates in Agency Committees as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- CPR/BLS/AED certification
- Knowledge of OSHA standards
- Obtain serv safe certification within the 6 months of employment.
- Competence in infection prevention and control
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, must be able to explain health and safety processes to a wide range of people and groups.
- Prefer valid Driver’s License and must be able to be insured under Agency’s Automobile Insurance.
