Current position is for night audit covering the 10p-6a shift. In this position you represent the hotel to guests throughout all stages of their stay, working with other staff to ensure a superior guest experience. Property operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so open availability with ability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Basic Job Duties:

Responsibilities include registering guests, assigning rooms and accommodating special requests. Possess a working knowledge of reservations system and makes same day and future reservations. Provide confirmation and cancellation policy. Register arriving guests and assign rooms. Handle cash as well as credit card payments. Resolves guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Always adhere to customers’ privacy policy. Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.

Night Audit Job Details:

Audits, balances and reports on the sales transactions of the hotel to provide accurate and timely financial information of the operational performance for the day. Oversees front office/front desk operations during the overnight shift.

Night Audit Basic Duties:

Verifies accounting records for accuracy and compiles financial records.

Posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts.

Verifies all account postings and balances.

Summarizes results of operations and prepares reports for management.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service orientation and skills.

Previous hotel-related experience preferred.

Knowledge of surrounding area and local events.

Ability to operate front office equipment and computers.

Understand principles of auditing, balancing and closing out accounts.

Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.50 per hour

• 8 hour shift
