Recruiters are a key component to the success that Always Compassionate Home Care (ACHC) has. This role’s primary responsibility makes it possible to find the qualified health care workers whose duties in the field make it possible to fill current contracts ACHC has throughout the New York area.

This role will partner with the company’s leaders to enable business growth by adding recruits and identifying new avenues to assist in bringing in the sheer volume of healthcare professionals to support our staffing needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Recruiting in field and office for live-in and hourly HHA’s (home health aides) and PCA’s (personal care aides)
  • Completes the initial screening of candidates, conducts reference and criminal background checks, assessment testing, orientation, and other aspects of the on-boarding process.
  • Develops and executes creative sourcing strategies to identify top talent including direct sourcing/cold-calling, networking, internal referral generation, job fairs, internet and intranet postings and resume searches.
  • Attend job fairs and present employment opportunities to the general population.
  • Attend and present at local Home Health Aide training schools.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with NYS DOH regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the community to develop referral sources.
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection processes.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during recruitment cycle and at specific periods after hire.
  • Ensure that all required documents are received by the applicant prior to orientation.
  • Work with recruiters to ensure the recruitment department is meeting their weekly hiring goals.
  • Researches a wide variety of resources to stay current on business, competitor presence and industry trends, as well as develops pipelines for critical positions. Develops industry networking contacts.
  • Identifies trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in recruiting practices.
  • Provide new hires with manuals, guidelines, and passwords, as needed.
  • Ensure new hires have the necessary technical assistance to set up their software and apps.
  • Recruit for paraprofessionals as needed using multiple CRM systems.
  • Onboard and schedule orientations on a weekly basis.
  • Work together as a team with involved departments.
  • Coordinates the general orientation of new hires by preparing all new hire information, conducting the orientation session, processing I.D. badges, and addressing any employee concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience with recruiting process, Home Care a PLUS.
  • Deep understanding of sourcing techniques and platforms.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple requisitions and projects simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with phones, tablets, laptops and other devices.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Results driven, sense of urgency, and high standard of professionalism.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, a PLUS.
