Highway Electrician's Helper wanted ASAP! Our Highway Electrician Technician I will assist the Journeyman or Master Electrician in the troubleshooting, repairing, and installation of electrical wiring, lighting, and equipment in a safe manner outdoors along the highway.

WHAT YOU DO

• Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit
• Drills holes for wiring and pulls or pushes wiring through opening
• Traces out short circuits in wiring
• Assists in lifting, positioning and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit and motors
• Performs minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches
• Performs work on highway interchange lighting and underpass/overpass lighting
• Disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts and reassembles equipment
• Works from elevated locations, possibly as high as 60', sometimes near water in a bucket truck

WHO YOU ARE

Requirements

• Valid Florida Driver's License
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• 1-2 years of Residential or Commercial Experience
• Ability to work with 277/480 volts
• Reliable transportation and commute to and from Ocoee/Winter Garden office for work
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to work alongside roadways and highways with commuter traffic passing by at varying rates of speed
• Ability to adhere to the on-call rotation for emergency incident response as scheduled or needed
