Job description
The Group Exercise Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing a menu of dynamic, fun, and motivating group exercise class programs that are suitable for people of all ages. This position requires a mix of early morning, evening, and weekend hours to assure that quality programs are being delivered in all classes being offered.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor class attendance, Develop and continuously improve, review, modify, or add programs and classes to maximize attendance. Classes should not average less than 5 participants for attendance.
- Manage payroll to stay within accepted budgetary guidelines.
- Submit marketing material to appropriate marketing personnel
- Respond to member/guest calls and emails within 24 hours.
- Facilitate Group Exercise staff meetings at least twice a year (fall and mid-Winter) to focus on customer service, team building, communication organizational developments, and building morale
- Assure that all instructors are trained on bloodborne pathogen protection, and fire evacuation and have current CPR/AED training.
- Instructors must stay up to date with their certifications.
- Evaluate staff as needed.
- Make recommendations for wage adjustments as needed.
- Assure that new hires are evaluated after 90 days.
- Perform annual review on his/her self-yearly
- Assure studios are clean, equipment is working, and items are properly stored.
- Participate with the CFO/Operations Coordinator in the development of the group exercise budget.
- Submit a brief weekly report to the Operations Coordinator/Club Manager which includes class attendance, equipment, and/or staff issues

Certifications/Qualifications:
- Must hold a minimum of ACE, AFFA, or other nationally recognized certification
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience in teaching group exercise classes
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, management, leadership, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be in excellent physical condition, able to demonstrate exercise movements, bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $46.00 per hour

- Weekend availability

- Bettendorf, IA 52722: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Group fitness: 2 years (Preferred)
