Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform tasks involving physical labor at highway, heavy construction projects, and demolition sites
- Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments
- Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris
- Assist other craft workers
- Must be able to safely operate equipment, machinery, and vehicles
- Must be able to meet physical demands of position, to include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screening, driving record check, and physical
