As a team member in Cross Dock Operations, you will be a part of Carter Express' competitive and lively work environment. Forklift Operators are the center of supply chain cross docking in the Carter Network and play a vital role in the manufacturing of popular brands of vehicles seen on the road today. As a Dock Team Member, you will be responsible for following the Team Lead's direction in controlling all available resources to ensure the safe, timely, and damage-free loading/unloading of freight.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all inbound freight compliance to customer plan.
• Operate powered Forklift.
• Verifying the accuracy and quantity of all incoming or outbound deliveries.
• Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
• Servicing of both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Communicating to the Team Lead any gaps identified in the inbound/outbound freight flow.
• Ability to be flexible by covering any open positions due to Team Member absent or shortages.
• Ensuring all work is performed according to company approved procedures, standards, and specifications.
• Assist with providing a clean, safe environment for all personnel.
• Must always adhere, while on property, to all PPE Requirements and Standards.
• Responsible for accuracy of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Escalate all issues associated with safety, job performance, overages, shortages, damages, and any other key information to Team Leader or Group Lead. "Stop, Call, Wait."

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent experience

2. Prior warehouse and forklift experience highly preferred, but not required. We will train the right candidate.

4. Must be self-driven with a positive attitude

5. Willingness to learn and follow direction

6. Maintain a clean and safe working environment

7. Ideal candidate will be suited for a teamwork environment

8. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
