Responsibilities:
- Teach 3–15 hours education-based courses.
- Responsible for instructing students in various instructional mode, including classroom, hybrid or online settings.
- Develop course objective, implements teaching strategies, monitors, and evaluates student progress and keeps accurate student records.
- Deliver quality course content, participate in department curriculum revisions, contribute to the college and community environment, and serve as advisor to business majors.
- Participating in department activities.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage and control the classroom.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body, particular HBCU.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Business or Finance with 18 hours in Finance or extensive corporate experience in finance. Doctorate in the discipline preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Blackboard, hybrid courses, and the ability to utilize innovative modalities for delivering course content.
- The ability to design lessons that teach curriculum in an engaging manner, applying various teaching methods, lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and individual or collaborative projects and research.
- Evidence of outstanding teaching or teaching potential is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations.
- Some walking, climbing stairs, sitting, and standing for long period of time.
- Ability to lift 10lbs. 1% of the time.
