Plateau Healthcare is focused on private duty nursing services, in complex medical home settings as well as in client home settings. We are seeking a Director of Nursing who can provide effective management and sound leadership to our amazing team!
Job Summary
As the Executive Director, you will lead and build a team at 2-3 sites that reports directly to you. You will have direct impact on intentionally shaping culture and prepare site leads to manage responsibility as it pertains to operations and site management.
Qualifications
- A sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly and/or disabled persons.
- Possess skills to communicate effectively with those you may supervise or those to whom you report and with Clients and their families.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Possesses a bachelor's degree in the preferred areas Healthcare Administration, Hospitality Management, or Business or equivalent experience or RN License.
- Has 2-5 years of management experience.
- Have assumed a managerial role that was responsible for multiple disciplines.
- Possess budgeting and staffing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Microsoft Outlook.
- Direct of Assisted Living License (Preferred)
- Possess excellent communication and language skills.
- Must be screened for TB.
- Must be CPR certified.
Responsibilities
- Models' professionalism, compassion and courtesy at all times;
- An active part in leadership and shares responsibility of operation of a 24/7 community; including a willingness to be ‘on call’ for emergencies;
- Provides organizational structure and ensures effective and efficient daily operations;
- Assist with hiring and staffing to required levels.
- Delegates responsibilities in accordance with short-term and long-term objectives;
- Leads and directs quality assurance program ensuring exceptional care and employment environment to include meeting monthly with clients and staff and ensures that feedback is received and documented;
- Supports and manages site leads in creating measurable goals and setting expectations on quality;
- Oversight, leadership and mentorship of site leads to assist in achieving quality measures;
- Develops positive working relationships and open communication with supervisors, staff, clients, and clients' representatives through their attitude, direct teaching and coaching. Leading by example is critical;
- Maintain client appointments, and coordinate with staffer for staffing needs;
- Actively advocates for superior care and promotes service excellence. Ensures all ancillary services meet the needs of the residents;
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of current trends and new developments in healthcare licensure;
- Ensures building is in compliance with federal state and local standards and regulations. Is available for license surveys;
- Maintains records, incident reports, funds, statistics, licenses and inspection reports. Ensures that confidential information and valuables are locked and in a secure location while maintaining proper lock controls;
- Responsible for investigating and reporting incidents of suspected tenant maltreatment;
- Reports and documents all inspections, correspondence and/or inquiries to the CEO/director on the same day of receipt and/or occurrence;
- Sends all requested information including weekly reporting to director/CEO discussing current financial status, building issues, staff/tenant issues, etc. in a timely manner;
- Extensive knowledge of the budget and operational effectiveness always considering quality;
- Responsible for the monthly financials, staying in compliance with the budget goals and reporting variances;
- Monitors on a monthly basis, the financials, oversees all building expenditures and reports/consults with supervisor on budget variances;
- Responsible for compliance with HR policy and the overall employment environment and standards;
- Maintains necessary documentation for employees in compliance with organization’s policies and procedures;
- Coordinates staff education to include basic information needed by home care staff;
- Teaches philosophy, and leads with departmental support a staff retention, staff engagement program that includes, hiring practices, orientation, training, reeducation and recognition;
- Ensuring Staff compliance with policy and procedures of company; implementing disciplinary process when needed.
- Responsible for employee performance reviews.
- Maintain employee injury reports.
- Responsible for maintaining client/client representative complaint log and resolving complaints.
- Other duties as assigned by DON, CNO and CEO.
The Executive Director reports directly to the CEO/Chief Operating Officer/Director of Nursing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $71,000.00 - $84,500.00 per year
