We are seeking a Director of Business Process and Master Data Governance to support our Accounting Team and who will be responsible for:
- This position reports to the Controller and provides the unique combination of a deep understanding of finance business processes, data management and technical systems expertise – specifically within the Workday platform.
- Partners with Finance Directors and IT Directors to prioritize, plan and deliver integrated data and system solutions which address complex business problems.
- This role will be instrumental in establishing and overseeing Finance Master Data (FMD) Governance organization that sets direction for FMD standards, policies, and enabling technologies.
- Administer Policy and Procedures re: chart of accounts, bank accounts, etc.
- Enforce business process design standards and data quality governance
- Maintain FDM integrity and change management
- Ensure user adoption and execute change management controls
- Perform configuration impact analysis of FDM, new releases, new requirements, and ensure operational change readiness
- Develop test execution plans and UAT sign-off coordination
- Provide front-line (Tier 1) support to facilitate understanding of business process, reporting and data quality
- Maintain “Metadata” Drivers
- Manage end-to-end AIR asset portfolio change management
- New Asset Activation
- Asset Deactivation
- New Entity Setup
- Joint Venture Setup
Oversees: Functional Architecture and Governance of Workday
- Functional Architecture – establishes and maintains the high-level functional architecture blueprint of all Financial-related data elements from source systems, financial systems, and usage in reporting. This includes attributed data models for Master Data, Workday FDM, Reference Data, Transaction Data, and Statistical Data. Documents core reporting dimensional data elements, and maintains relevant data dictionaries.
- Financial Master Data Governance – works with the relevant business constituents to establish the structure and approach to manage Master Data and Reference Data. Serves as Financial Data Steward. Participates in other data governance groups or efforts outside of Finance directly (e.g., Property data). Drives or coordinates the use of Master Data Management tools.
- Financial Data Quality – Establishes framework for measuring data quality. Regularly assesses the relevant quality of all financial data. Regularly tracks and reports data quality metrics.
Oversees: Business Analyst – Workday, Adaptive Planning & Reporting, Kyriba, (& Blackline as needed)
- Business Process Architecture – establishes and maintains the process architecture blueprint depicting the full end-to-end financial processes, activities, swimlanes, etc. Maintains documentation on which process elements are digitally enabled by specific system functionality.
- Business Process Requirements – establishes and maintains use case and requirements documentation, including Requirements Traceability Matrices tying those requirements to functionality in the enabling systems, and ensuring proper testing is performed against the requirements.
- Process Improvement Projects – participates or leads projects to either improve in scope processes or design and implement enabling software
- User Support and Enhancement Management – proactively engages with system users regularly to understand system usage, issues, and user adoption. Identifies and documents systems enhancements. Monitors backlog progress.
- User Training and systems utilization – coordinates user training for in-scope systems and ensures availability of training resources. Proactively engages with the user community to gauge system usage and issues or challenges to full utilization. Proactively initiates and coordinates the development and delivery of appropriate training to address the issues or challenges as relevant.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience of leading and managing an ERP system implementation
- 3+ years of experience specifically in the Workday Core Financial system
- Understand the Workday system and be able to communicate its functionality to others
- Ability to engage with senior / executive stakeholders
- Ability to manage your time, the customer demands, and competing priorities with a high focus on customer service
- Analyze complex problems and collaborate to explore alternative solution

- Expected pay range of $150,000 - $200,000 plus bonus. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.
