Job Description:
Plans, organizes, develops, coordinates, and directs the operations of the Cardiology Clinic and Cardiac Catheterization Lab in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting body standards, guidelines, and regulations. Provides oversight to the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Coordinator. Works collaboratively with physicians and staff to provide the highest quality of patient care. This position is responsible for the coordination of operational functions of the business through administrative, clinical, and ancillary staff to ensure the maximum utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates policies, procedures, and departmental activities. Directs the delivery of patient care in the department providing integration of services into the primary functions of the organization. Supervises all department staff by interviewing, selecting, training, assigning job responsibilities, and appraising performance and competencies to ensure that the department meets its goals and objectives. Assures that all department staff receive orientation and continuing education relative to their specific job responsibilities and provides ongoing professional growth and development opportunities. Facilitates the effective coordination and integration of interdepartmental and intradepartmental services to maintain the optimum level of patient care.
Maintains compliance with the required regulatory agencies. Develops, monitors, and reviews capital and general operating budgets. Assures cost-effectiveness of expenditures, monitors productivity, and effective utilization of staff. Coordinates the purchasing and inventory of department supplies and equipment and assures cost-effective usage of supplies. Coordinates department quality improvement/management program through ongoing monitoring and evaluation, ensuring staff participation in the process and utilization of identified outcomes for opportunities for improvement in services rendered. Demonstrates competency to function as a member of the cath lab clinical team and accepts case coverage assignments as staffing levels require. Assures that area is appropriately staffed and monitors workload to effectively utilize staff to maximize productivity and quality levels.
Works collaboratively with physicians and staff to provide the highest quality of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS - Education and/or Experience - Minimum requirements: Graduate from an approved school of nursing. BSN required MSN preferred. Holds or is eligible for licensure in the state of South Dakota. A minimum of three years of experience in the Cath Lab is required. Leadership experience is strongly preferred.
CMS requires that healthcare staff be Covid-19 vaccinated or Religious and Medical Exemptions will be required.
