SOWEGA Rising seeks a dynamic, dedicated individual as a Data Specialist. Reporting to - and working closely as a strategic partner with - the Executive Director (ED), the Data Specialist will be an entry level position with experience in data entry. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn how to use CRM systems.

DEVELOPMENT DATA MANAGEMENT

· Oversee input and standardization of donor data in donor database

· Process incoming gifts and donations

· Generate donation acknowledgements and prepare acknowledgments for mailing

· Maintain accurate and robust donor/ communications database

· Generate fundraising and donation reports

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· 2+ years relevant work experience preferred

· Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and time management skills

· Persistent, sees work through to completion

· Tech savvy and autodidactic, able to learn new systems and software quickly

· Highly responsive: when something is brought up, it is responded to quickly

· Comfortable with repetition, able to stay focused when working on rote projects and tasks

· Process-conscious: notices inefficiencies and suggests possibilities for improvement

· Steward of data and records: takes pride in work and appreciates its connection to GIP’s mission

· Welcomes respectful giving and receiving of constructive feedback

· Humility and confidence, no job is too small or too big

· Passion for and understanding of GIP’s mission and work

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary for this position is $15 hourly part-time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT and REQUIREMENTS

This position is based in an office setting and requires regularly being able to sit or stand and perform computer-based work, occasional lifting and travel may be required.
