General Description:

Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for Data Analyst who will collect, evaluate, and prepare research and/or other complex statistical data for a specific unit of the institution. Prepares statistical and narrative reports and recommendations, and participates in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate. Develops, maintains, and ensures quality control of databases and may assist in development and implementation of measurement systems.

General Qualification Requirements:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Experience working with Student Information Systems preferred

(Above requirements may be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Representative Duties:

• Collect, summarize, aggregate and analyze data that will be utilized to make strategic decisions.

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

• Develops and maintain historical student and school data files to monitor and track performance

• Ensures the validity of all data presented to staff.

• Analyze reporting requirements and design reports accordingly

• Research and analyze data utilizing computer database management and spreadsheet programs; coordinate the collection and preparation of data through computer-generated reports and visualization tools.

• Coordinates development of dashboard systems to develop, collect, analyze, and distribute data.

• Develop data collection instruments, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and voice of the customer opportunities.

• Conducts, tabulates, and prepares reports from surveys, evaluations, and assessments

• Works with various departments to determine data needed to be collected and appropriate data resources.

• Provides data to internal and external stakeholders through the use of ad-hoc and pre-configured reports, dashboards, and local, state, and federal datasets

• Coordinates required data reporting to federal, state, and local agencies and partners including but not limited to the Oklahoma Department of Career Tech and the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

• Assists in collecting data and preparing reports for grant-funded programs.

• Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge and experience with federal data collections including Carl Perkins grant resources.
• Familiarity with PowerBI and/or building data dashboards.
• Driver’s license to travel to campus locations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance
