Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Lead Cyber Security IAM (Identity and Access Management) Engineer will guide the Cyber Security IAM initiatives by establishing and maintaining the corporate wide Cyber Security IAM program to ensure information assets are adequately protected. Is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of companywide security devices. Applies experience in architecting, implementing, and administering digital identities and technologies to solve security issues. With oversight, creates IAM roadmaps, performs product evaluations, recommends technologies, and implements new capabilities. Provides subject matter expertise and thought leadership supporting Cyber Security controls and related specific projects/initiatives. The Lead IAM Engineer collaborates with Hoag IT, physicians, facilities, departments, and vendors to accomplish Cyber Security specific deliverables, procedures, policies, and initiatives. Duties include, but may not be limited to:
  • Lead IAM projects/initiatives to accomplish and provide deliverables set forth by Cyber Security Engineering. Guide and mentor Cyber Security IAM engineers.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Security team on architecture, new platforms, and roadmaps. Assess security risks.
  • Contribute to the development of IAM long-term strategy.
  • Contribute to Hoag Cyber Security policies, procedures, standards, and guidance consistent with Hoag and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand On Premise Active Directory Architecture and controls that mitigate pass the hash style of attacks.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Cyber Security components such as, but not limited, to Microsoft Entra, SailPoint, Okta, Seczetta and BeyondTrust.
  • Follows project management discipline and provides analytic support for Cyber Security incidents.
  • Ensure applications and infrastructure services are designed and implemented to appropriate security standards.
  • Continuously analyze and improve security systems. Implement and design security best practices and policies.
  • Protect the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of customer, employee, and business credentials.
  • Contribute to the Risk Assessment Program, including identifying and prioritizing risk.
  • Participate in Cyber Security Incident Response activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience implementing and improving user account provisioning, role provisioning and user access certification processes
  • Experience with IAM/RBAC related projects with identity and access management products
  • Strong infrastructure design and documentation skills
  • Strong experience in analyzing logs and identifying problems with authentication and authorization.
  • Solid understanding of related identity management products, including certificate management, Privileged Identity Management, Multi-factor authentication strategies etc.
  • Proven change management skills. Proven change agent who consistently delivers results.

  • Experience with Okta or other enterprise-grade, identity management service

  • Reverse malware engineering experience

Preferred:
  • Masters’ degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Cyber Security, Cyber Forensics, Engineering, Business, or related technical field. Incident response experience.
  • Experience in a hospital or health care related organization of similar size and complexity.

Certifications Required
  • CISSP or Okta or SailPoint or MCSE or Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator

Certifications Preferred
  • SANS
