Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Performs radiographic exams as needed. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Associates degree and completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the department Director, performs diagnostic, patient care, and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Follows all ACR guidelines and maintains proper radiation dosing to all patients. Population served: • Pediatric (1-12 years) • Adolescent (13-17 years) • Adult (18 years to 69 years) • Geriatric (70 years and older)
Licenses/Certifications: ARRT (R) ; BLS certification. Must be licensed in the State of Florida. Typically requires a high school diploma, completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration, and 0-2 years of experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
