General Description:
This position will be a dual role both within the Credentialing Department and supporting events/fundraising for our Charitable Foundation. Specifically, to perform internal credentialing, re-credentialing and insurance credentialing of PHN providers and sites. He/she is also responsible for handling the credentialing of all providers and sites with insurance companies. In addition, will focus on the Foundation’s current and potential fundraising events with a goal of increasing and sustaining charitable resource.
Location and Hours of Position
The general office hours for this position is 8:00 AM-4.30 PM. The position is located in Lewistown, PA
Credentialing Duties:
- Complete the internal credentialing and re-credentialing process for providers
- Completes all Medicare/Medicaid revalidation site applications
- Completes credentialing and re-credentialing applications with the various insurance companies and monitors the progress of these applications
- Learn and update credentialing software-One App
- Apply and update E.H.R. incentive program (meaningful use)
- Maintains provider’s credentialing files and makes sure that the information contained in them is up to date and shared with the Human Resource Department
- Builds strong working relationships with the provider relations representatives at the major insurance companies
- Review insurance updates and attend meetings with insurance carriers and representatives from insurance companies
- Reviews claims rejected due to credentialing issues and works with appropriate companies for resolution
- Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing and filing
- Assists other departments as deemed appropriate and as time allows
- Maintains confidentiality and integrity of PHN patients, employees and/or organizational information
Event Coordinator Duties:
- Plan, develop and implement PHNCF internal and external events.
- Coordinate with selected off-site planners for special events.
- Develops intermittent events and fundraising opportunities.
- Preparing event budget.
- Oversee contractors, caterers, volunteers and other staff involved in the event.
- Ensuring the event meets all health, safety and building standards.
- Acts as an important liaison to the community to find potential supporters.
- Will have the ability to learn about PHN to market them to the community.
- Assist in the development of the database of sponsors and track “giving” patterns.
- Manage multiple projects at one time
- Assist with the development of promotional materials for events.
- Attend meetings as required, keep minutes, and distribute in a timely fashion.
- Create and modify documents.
- Perform general clerical duties to include but not be limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
- Support staff in assigned project based work.
- Interact with PHN staff as necessary.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office including Word, Publisher, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
- Travel to off-site areas to plan event. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary.
- Detail oriented with a good attention to detail.
- Works well under pressure.
- Able to prioritize work load.
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highschool graduate or equivalent
