Role Summary

The Instrumentation Technician inspects, tests, repairs, and maintains the electrical and instrumentation systems in a safe manner While in the field or in the office. This role must be able to maintain and repair equipment according to service manuals, company procedures or process and instrumentation diagrams.

Job Accountabilities

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Personally adhere to and enforce all safety procedures and policies, to include but no limited to hot work, confined space, and lockout/tag-out
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate and maintain electrical equipment and systems of varying voltages
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate and maintain electrical equipment including but not limited to: motors (all types), starters, breakers, transformers, isolation switches, relays, fuses, resistors, process valves, AC Drives, electrical cable, fiber optic cable, coaxial cable, conduit, receptacles, PLC’s, control panels, lights & lighting panels, distributive controls, UPS, fire & emergency, cable trays
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation equipment including but not limited to: transmitters (all types), MOVs, Control Valves, actuators, Back Press Valves, flow meters Micro Motion turbine and PD, tubing, RTD, thermocouple,
• Lead repairs and calibration of electrical equipment and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of electro-mechanical equipment
• Install, implement and maintain new control systems as needed
• Troubleshoot, repair, and/or calibrate electrical and instrumentation systems
• Responsible for completing work orders and all other assignments as assigned
• Works effectively without supervision
• Communicates well with employees from all areas of the facility
