SCOPE
The Controlling Analyst role applies to leading projects in process improvement by educating, coaching, and facilitating others on the process improvement philosophy, tools, and application. Safety and Health is an absolute priority, therefore it is everyone’s responsibility to stay diligent and follow the organizations rigorous safety standards.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- Manage one Junior Controlling Analyst in his/her daily tasks
- Lead Entity Budget Preparation, Forecast, and Quarterly Business Review
- Prepare Board presentation materials for the entity
- Present the company financial status to entity leadership team and NA Region leadership monthly
- Determine financial impacts and savings opportunities following established and updated methodologies
- Set up adequate tools for assessment and optimization of results against objectives. Assist units in identifying and developing key success factors and appropriate performance metrics.
- Assess operating methods, procedures, and processes and recommends improvements.
- Operational Expenditure (OPEX) Cost Analysis:
- Monthly analysis of the cost efficiency of the company and how it is impacted by various factors (such as: market,
investments, engineering projects, personal initiatives, organizational changes, added cost savings etc.). - Isolated costs analysis on specific topics.
- Any other controlling reporting requested by the NA Division or Corporate.
- Technical expert for cost systems and controls.

- Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Management:
- Validate CAPEX proposals (scope, budget, cash slow, profitability, risk analysis).
- Develop an intimate understanding of the capital investment projects and advise senior executives on capital
allocation and arbitration decisions. - Take responsibility for large CAPEX proposals and facilitate the investment approval process.
- Act as a technical expert of valuation methods including discounted cash flow analysis.
- Building and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with the Company’s parent organization and its North American Counterparts.
- Establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships that foster staying current with general industrial continuous improvement, tools, training, successes, etc.
- Prepare budget requests (scope, budgets, cash flow, profitability, risk analysis, approval process follow up).
- Follow-up during implementation time (approve all CAPEX related expenses, follow-up of budgets, service dates.)
- Post check; 3-year plan; audit.
- Must follow all company policies, practices and regulations to include Safety and Quality
- Any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Required Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business or related.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years financial analysis experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Previous experience in an interfacing role with the senior management team of a large complex organization and/or manufacturing industry experiences a plus.
- Strong analytical, financial and operational business acumen.
- Demonstrated versatility to think strategically while maintaining detail orientation and a high level of organization when necessary.
- Technical mastery of valuation methods, discounted cash flow analysis, and capital allocation decision making methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel
- Knowledgeable of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP FICO module.
- Must be comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to key executives and influencing at all levels of the organization.
- Appreciates and is sensitive to cultural difference in a global organization.

- Ability to quickly absorb complex information, identify key points, and form a perceptive viewpoint.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a track record of implementing strategic initiatives.

- Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.
