We have an immediate opening for a Senior Estimator.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following but are not limited to(other duties may be assigned):
- Senior Estimator ( Atlanta, GA Office )
- Receive bid announcements (Invitation to Bid “ITB”) from Preconstruction
- Manager. Good communication with the Preconstruction team.
- Organize and keep track of all documents – i.e. – drawings, specifications, addenda,
- bid alternates, RFP proposal, etc before developing the subcontractor/vendor
- bid list to ensure that all required trades are contacted early and the scope of work is
- relayed accordingly.
- Set up subcontractor/vendor bid list.
- Communicate with Superintendents regarding bids.
- Send bid documents (drawings, specs, soils report, addenda, etc.) to subs /
- vendors that require bid documents.
- Communication with crane supplies and sending invitations to bid.
- Perform a complete quantity survey utilizing Etakeoff, Bridge, and Sage
- Timberline software.
- Utilize Microsoft Project
- Perform a takeoff of the formwork materials.
- Prior knowledge of local sales tax rates
- Knowledge of reviewing and adjusting estimates as needed
- Organization skills and timeliness for bids are a must
- Work with operations leaders to ensure they have reviewed the bid documents
and logistic requirements and General Conditions. - Review the estimate and sub/vendor quotes with Preconstruction Manager.
- Review and discuss any possible clarifications that may be required with the
- Preconstruction Manager, before bid submission.
