    Salary Structure: Professional/Support Grade 1: $48,068+/annually

    Position Contract: 12-months, Exempt

    General Description:
    Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a Conference Services Coordinator who will assist the Director of the Conference Center on all conference service operations and serves as the main contact for invoicing, billing, payments, and deposits for room reservations and rentals at District Center for Metro Technology Centers.

    General Qualification Requirements:

    Education/Experience
    • High school diploma or G.E.D.
    • Three (3) years experience in professional administrative duties.
    • Three (3) years experience customer service relations.
    • Five (5) years experience in conference center services.
    • Five (5) years experience in meeting and event planning, or related field.
    (Above requirements may be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

    Representative Duties:
    • Manages and supervises the District Receptionists, the Conference Services Receptionist, and the Conference Room Attendants.
      2. Supports and promotes the mission, vision, and pillars at Metro Tech.
      3. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvements in service to partners and customers.
      4. Authorizes pricing structure and hours of operation for events.
      5. Responds to Conference Service user needs and questions.
      6. Monitors and evaluates service and operations at District Center to ensure cost effectiveness.
      7. Routinely audits and inspects the cleanliness and service levels at District Center.
      8. Carries out administrative duties, filing, typing, coping, record keeping.
      9. Point of contact for clients and guests.
      10. Reserves rooms for internal and external customers and confirms all event details before the start of the event.
      11. Generates invoices for room rentals.
      12. Processes credit card transactions.
      13. Posts payments and deposits.
      14. Skillfully email, scan, and hand deliver all credit card receipts to clients
      15. Distributes literature and other materials as needed.
      16. Assists in preparing facilities prior to arrival if needed.
      17. Gives walking tours as needed.
      18. Checks individual rooms for readiness.
      19. Prepares communications, such as emails, reports, and other correspondence.
      20. Communicating with clients, facilities management, and Audio Visual on event needs.
      21. Available to work Monday to Saturday when needed.
