The Opportunity…
The Commercial Project Manager will work directly with the Director of Commercial Operations to support the growth of GRID Alternatives' multifamily and nonprofit services by managing a portfolio of commercial installations. Job Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Manage all aspects of the project cycle (contract to close-out) to ensure profitability and compliance with contracts and negotiated agreements. This may include: oversight of budget and timelines, management of client, stakeholder, and contractor relationships, engineering and permitting, procurement, staffing and scheduling, and interconnection, incentives, and close-out processes
  • Every member of GRID Alternatives must participate in the organization's equity, inclusion, and diversity work

What you need to bring to this role
  • 2+ years experience in project management, managing vendors, and negotiating contracts
  • Experience with commercial solar + storage projects 25kW-1.5MW PREFERRED
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com or other CRM database systems
  • Experience with MS Project or other project/construction management platforms
  • Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.
Where you will sit & the places you may go…
This position will be fully remote or location flexible to any of our regional offices, working out of our HQ Construction Department. This position may rarely require out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.

This is a full-time, exempt position. Salary commensurate with experience within the pay band of $75,000 - $90,000 plus the benefits listed below. *All Remote & Remote/Location Flexible Positions MUST reside within the U.S., and require proof of residency.
