GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Managing Director with a dotted line to the Strategic Leisure & Country Group Sales Director, the Commercial Director will execute the company's strategic commercial plan focusing on the development of new types of businesses and the growth of revenue and profitability for the organization's Sales, Marketing, and E-commerce channels. This position has full P&L responsibility and accountability for the country topline/revenue on all sales channels & all Brands (Fox Rent A Car and Europcar) | B2C (Direct to Brand / E-Commerce) & B2B2C (Brokers, Partnerships, Travel agencies & Travel Management Companies), and B2B (Government, Key Accounts, SMEs). In charge of Marketing and Customer Service strategy and operational activities. USA Executive Committee Member.
They would also bring an extensive commercial background with 20 years of experience built on solid and soft skills able to set up a winning culture in the commercial organization; intensely focused on people and team management, they can manage several topics simultaneously through a wide span of control.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take complete ownership of commercial strategy and business development, reporting to the Managing Director and the Strategic Leisure & Country Group Sales Director.
- Responsible for developing plans that include adapting the organizational strategy to the US market goals, objectives, and processes that ensure budget attainment of sales goals, margins, and expenses to meet profit goals
- Build key customer relationships (external and internal) and implement a commercial strategy for expanding the client base
- Define, develop, and lead strategies to exceed the company's revenue and profitability targets per channel category.
- Monitor competitive and market activity and provide direction and lead the commercial approach as a member of the executive team
- Collaborate with Product and Technology to continuously summarize market feedback, improve product strategy and refine go-to-market strategy
- Lead the lifecycle process from lead generation to the onboarding of new accounts
- Analyze trends and market disruptions and search for emerging new market opportunities
- Develop processes and frameworks that allow for the systematic evaluation and progression of potential client partnerships
- Participate actively in Group's annual strategic planning process, gauging current market position, long-term growth prospects, and inputs into the annual financial plan
- Facilitate the development of an accountability action chain, establishing the approaches and implementation of research to understand customer loyalty and return on investment (ROI)
- Serves as an articulate, passionate, and visible executive leader
Education:
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- An in-depth understanding of the travel or car rental industry and decision-making processes, including commercial drivers and infrastructure.
- Maintains current market knowledge regarding conditions of competitors, including pricing, commercial offer, and market share
