MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Position requires an associate degree in computer science, web design, or related technological discipline or two to five years of experience in computer system and software design, web design and development and implementation highly desirable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Web Design & Development, or any other related field.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The part-time College Webmaster is accountable for assuring the effective functioning of hardware and software in support of all College owned computers, workstations, and help desk requests through effective performance in these essential functional areas:
1. Develop and manage the College’s website
2. Coordinate closely with the Director of Information Systems to create an effective user experience on the College website.
3. Collaborate with IT staff to ensure optimal page loads, uptime, and integration with appropriate College business functions.
4. Research emerging technologies and services that may enhance the web experience and make recommendations as appropriate to ensure continual innovation.
5. Other essential duties may be assigned, consistent with the general scope of the position.
COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrated substantial knowledge and abilities in the following areas are required:
1. Proficient in developing web materials in a variety of formats that meet accessibility guidelines.
2. Interacting favorably with faculty, administrators, staff, students and public.
3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
SALARY:
$25.00/hour
