JOBCherry Hills Village Police Department is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer for immediate hire to work together with residents and property owners to achieve a clean, safe, and attractive community. Cherry Hills Village Police Department provides high quality services to the community and is looking for “service-minded” employees. Salary range is $56,715 – $82,230 plus excellent benefits package to include training and education opportunities. EEO
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures City’s zoning, nuisance, construction practices, stormwater management, and health and safety regulations are followed.
Interpret and explain Municipal ordinances to the public.
Maintain calm in stressful or argumentative situations.
Conduct inspections of properties and construction sites to ensure compliance with Municipal ordinances and requirements and the City’s MS-4 Stormwater Permit.
Respond to calls in a timely manner.
Conduct active patrol of City streets, parks and trail system including the Highline Canal trail.
Responsible for conducting animal control duties.
Requirements:
Minimum of one year of code enforcement experience or related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid Colorado Driver license and an acceptable driving record is required.
